BLUE NOTE TITLE, INC. was founded with one simple, motivating principle in mind: Experience matters. Our experience is what sets us apart from other title companies, and your experience is what drives us. It is our philosophy that the process of buying and financing real estate should be exciting, not needlessly complicated. We strive to make your experience with us a great one because we love what we do.
At Blue Note Title, Inc., an attorney will oversee and review your file from start to finish, but unlike other attorneys, we do not track our time in 6-minute intervals. The measure of our work is not in the minutes billed, but in the relationships we build with our customers.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER. Attorney Jessica Chipoco founded Blue Note Title, Inc. after working in the title industry for over a decade and living in all three jurisdictions of the metro-D.C. area for more than 16 years—the District itself (Mt. Pleasant and Logan Circle), Virginia (Rosslyn), and Maryland (Silver Spring). Examining title records and conducting thousands of settlements in all three jurisdictions gives Jessica a unique perspective in the various nuances and quirks of each state’s property laws and county rules. Witnessing firsthand the tremendous changes in the mortgage industry over the past decade also makes Jessica uniquely qualified to assist homebuyers navigate that process.
Jessica prides herself in educating consumers through their transactions to become more knowledgeable about the home buying/refinancing experience. As an Affiliate Member and Instructor of the Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR), Jessica has also developed and taught courses to real estate professionals on the subjects of Fair Housing, Contracts, Legislative Updates, Ethics, and Agency across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Over the span of her career, Jessica has served in several community leadership positions including: President of the Maryland Hispanic Bar Association (2012-2013), Deputy Regional President, Region V, of the Hispanic National Bar Association (2012-2013), Maryland State Bar Association Leadership Academy Fellow (2011-2012), Chairman of the Montgomery County Bar Association Committee on Specialty Bars (2013-2015), and member of the Maryland LGBT Bar Association.
Prior to her practice in real estate and title matters, Jessica was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Montgomery County, Maryland, prosecuting crime on behalf of the citizens of the State of Maryland. Jessica’s passion for justice and leadership began at a young age. Her family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, from Lima, Peru, when she was only eight months old. This mix of Latin heritage and Southern influence made Jessica fluent in both Spanish and proper hospitality. Raised by a single mom with a steadfast commitment to education, Jessica received her Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Political Science from Emory University and her Juris Doctor from The George Washington University School of Law.
As a small business owner, mother, and avid fan of the outdoors, Jessica enjoys spending time thinking globally and acting locally with the joys of her life—her wife and son.
